About

ºù«Ӱҵ what the world needs

The world needs more just companies. Companies that believe in fair pay and equal treatment for all workers. Companies that create good jobs and understand the value of strong communities. Companies that are committed to a healthy planet. ºù«Ӱҵ Capital measures and ranks companies on the issues Americans care about most so you can then act on that knowledge. With your voice, your purchase decisions, your investment dollars, your career choices, your leadership, you have the power to make the world a more just place.

Our Origins

ºù«Ӱҵ Capital was co-founded in 2014 by a group of concerned people from the world of business, finance, and civil society – including Paul Tudor Jones II, Deepak Chopra, Rinaldo Brutoco, Arianna Huffington, Paul Scialla, Alan Fleischmann, and others. By establishing the organization as a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) registered charity, the founders ensured that ºù«Ӱҵ Capital would be exclusively geared towards achieving its mission.

Our Mission

The mission of ºù«Ӱҵ Capital is to build an economy that works for all Americans by helping companies improve how they serve all their stakeholders – workers, customers, communities, the environment, and shareholders. We believe that business and markets can and must be a greater force for good, and that by shifting the resources of the $19 trillion private sector, we can address systemic issues at scale, including income inequality and lack of opportunity. Guided by the priorities of the public, our research, rankings, indexes, and data-driven tools help measure and improve corporate performance in the stakeholder economy.

Our Commitment to Equity

At ºù«Ӱҵ Capital, we believe in creating a just and equitable economy and society that works for all.

We recognize those goals cannot be achieved without taking proactive steps toward eradicating racism, discrimination, hate and marginalization in all its forms, whether that be systemic, institutional, individual or otherwise.

We believe that it is important to state affirmatively that acts of violence, cruelty, or discrimination have no place in our society or workplace, and condemn that which is directed towards any demographic group, identity, or religious community.

We will continue to do the work within our own organization and society overall to make a more just and equitable society a reality.

ºù«Ӱҵ Capital is working on organizational commitments around this statement, and will be posting them in 2024.
